ADMIN DAY
Today has been a good day for it started with a lovely cuppa in bed for Tracey and for myself an invigorating paddleboard on account of a fresh morning and lots of wildlife. This was followed by a long walk through Onancock which charmed us as its a lovely town with a friendly demeanor.

On the outskirts we started our admin day in the most amazing laundromat which as you can see was huge. It had a charity shop and a cafe and once again very kind people. On our ramble back to the boat we bought some clamps for a job I have to do and enjoyed lunch in the Irish Pub.

The Harbour Master was helpful and I managed to top up our petrol stash with Ethanol Free Gas as they call it here. It's the best fuel for outboards and is hard to find so I was delighted.

ONANCOCK
Onancock, without going ashore is just lovely and it gifted us a perfect evening.

TANGIER ISLAND
From St Marys we headed for Onancock and wriggled through Tangier Island canal which was amazing. I would describe Tangier as a big sandbar which is chocker with an industrious fishing community, a lot of it on stilts. Like a lot of Chesapeake it is slowly disappearing to erosion so we feel rather privileged to have seen it.

MEXICAN
Not expecting much we were blown away as we walked into the most authentic and colorful Mexican one could wish for. The food was amazing and the staff all the more delightful for their lack of English. Loved it

MEXICAN
St Marys is really quite remote and with no cafe at the Plantation Museum John kindly offered to drive us in search of a local eatery. Sat on its own this rather drab block building claimed to be a Mexican restaurant and was entered with some trepidation.

SHAUN
We met John a year ago and have remained in contact. As he happened to be driving past he joined us for a day and left us with a new member of the menagerie - I introduce Shaun. You guessed it, John is an Irishman.
